Electricians install and maintain all of the electrical and power systems in a home or business. They install and maintain the wiring and control the equipment through which electricity flows. Solar electricians are responsible for connecting the solar panels, inverter, and other equipment to a building’s power supply.
One of the main components of your solar system is called an inverter. The inverter converts the energy produced as direct current from your photovoltaic system into the alternating current that you need to power your home, farm, or business. Our electricians work on the installation of your inverter and they can also perform service upgrades, like replacing your main panel. Not only do these service upgrades make for a safer, better performing PV system, there are also incentives available that can offset much of the cost.
Inverters convert direct current (DC) electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity—and are usually a central component in both off-grid and grid-tie solar systems (unless your solar system runs DC only).
