The Red Shamrock Foundation is holding their annual Survivorship Trail Challenge on April 7, and MOXIE will be there! Come out to Hickory Hill park in Iowa City for a day of sunshine, excersize, and fun for a great cause. Be sure to sign up for the race here or visit the Facebook event page for more information!
This is NOT your ordinary road race. The race is approximately 5K of hilly trail miles through Hickory Hill Park. Start and finish will be on the Regina track. This is a very challenging and scenic cross country course. Expect steep hills, rocks, overhanging trees, creeks, mud, stumps, and tall grass! The Survivorship Challenge is also part of the No Coast Trail Series, a group of 9 trail races in Central and Eastern Iowa that was organized to promote trail running in Iowa.
“We want people of all abilities, runners and walkers, to participate on the trails of Hickory Hill Park. Run or walk in solidarity with our survivors, or in memory of someone you have lost. As usual, we will start at the Regina High School track and run approximately a 6K through Hickory Hill Park! Register Now!”
